3 months pictures of my sweet angel

She loves her 5 Little Lady Bugs book...daddy was reading to her, the moment was too precious to pass up. I love this picture.

Her first time napping on her tummy, she learned to roll over from back to tummy and we couldn't keep her on her back for nothing, she is unstoppable. *giggle*

The fingers she is sucking on...same ones I sucked on when I was a baby, so this was crazy cute to me. She is after all, my daughter *wink*
Mommy and daughter date at the park.

"Ooo, a tag" She was playing away with this tag, staring at it all cross eye'd, rubbing her face with it...it was adorable.

First time in her Bumbo...I think she kinda likes it.
We were at WalMart, it was rainin', thunderin', lightenin',
and my little bug was smilin' away.

She is unstoppable now...

My daughter rolled over from back to tummy 3 times, by herself today!

We are such proud parents.

She is growing so fast.

I WANT THIS!!!

http://www.dimplesanddandelions.com/product_details.asp?Product_ID=38667

If only I had 60 bucks at my disposal right now...I love this...I want to put it on Ky soooo bad!

The things you do for your baby...

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm terrified of spiders.

Putting Kylie to bed, I saw one crawling up the wall, making it to Kylie's bedroom ceiling, of course I cant just leave it there, what if she got bit?

Fortunately, being small, I had the guts to try squishing it with toilet paper...but the damn thing fell into her crib, I squealed, found it, and killed it.

Kylie thought it was funny watching mommy balance on the foot stool to the rocking chair, then jump off it with a high pitched girly squeal.

After her crankiness from her sore gums due to the wonderful teething days we are currently experiencing, I'm glad I could make her smile! Made facing my phobia well worth it.

The Greatest Sound in The World!

At 3:30 pm, we were at the grocery store getting ready to head home, Kylie spit up, so I stayed in the backseat with her to clean her up while daddy drove us home. While I was wiping under her chin, she giggled! Not the gasps she has been doing...this was a full on giggle and she did it 3 times. I was hungry and cranky, but after a sound that beautiful, I was smiling ear to hear, squealing at Matthew about how excited I was that she officially giggled! He loved it too. Amazing!
Oh, then, my husband and Kylie were playing last night while I was at work when he sent me a picture of Ky on her side, the message attached was how Kylie rolled over to her side from her back on her own. Then she passed out. *laughing* Crazy girl!

Slow down little monster

My little girl rolled over from belly to back. Now, I don't know if it really counts as rolling over on her own, she was in her crib and I had her on her tummy so I could brush her hair after her bath. She may have had a little help with the softness of the mattress...but of course, as a mother, its a huge deal to me. Lol. She love bouncing, so I'm beginning to think that its time for one of those bouncer things, the ones that the baby stands in and jumps and plays with toys. She still loves her play mat, but I think it gets boring quickly because she is laying down and would rather sit up or stand. She is just growing so dang fast!

August 8th

Our lady bug is 3 months old today...Matthew and I got engaged on August 8th 2008...so this is a very special day for our little family.

There is a blog I recently started following, and her daughter is wearing a onesie every month that says how many months old she is. They all match as if its a package deal...I wonder where she found them at. Although, I wouldn't really want to start now...it would be much cuter to start from month 1...not 3...then again...who know cares, right? I don't know. I guess I will just keep taking pictures of her all dolled up and label them by her age.

Anyway, I cant believe its already been 3 months. Wow, when people said it goes fast, I knew it would, however, that fast...did not expect. She is just as gorgeous as ever, and so dang happy. Her smile is the most genuine, sweet, and greatest thing in this entire world. I cant put into words how much it means to me...how my heart melts with joyous warmth just to see her. And, to top it all off, she has just about grasped a giggle. I say in just a week or two, she will have it down. Kylie has been cooing at us, and we swear she tried saying "sausages". No lie...we heard it *giggle*. She will be walking and talking in no time at all, so for now, I'm enjoying these moments...pure innocence. Not quite rolling over yet, Kylie has been practicing. But, none the less, she gets around by scooting on her back, pushing with her strong little legs and lifting her head and shoulders up as if she is going to just sit right up like a big girl. She is a wild one...although, I knew that before she was even born. That girl moved like no other in my belly...and its just as adorable now as it was then.

2 Month Welfare Check

Kylie is supposably underweight. She is 10 lbs 2 oz, putting her in the 15th percentile, 50th percentile for her length at 23 inches.

I think "averages" are bologna. I know how she eats, sleeps, & poops...*giggle*...so I know that she is healthy. The doctor was like you might try feeding her a little more...but I tried that already and she spits up a lot, as if it upsets her tummy. She cant handle more than what we give her currently. So, I will keep doing what I'm doing and gradually try feeding her more as I see she can take it. Mommies aren't stupid...we know what we are doing. Lol.

Anyway, she is doing great...holding her head up so well, pulling herself up with her arms, standing (with help of course), and smiling so much. Its a very rewarding feeling to see her progress.

My Sweet Tough Baby

Kylie had her first set of shots today. She was such a trooper. She didn't cry but for maybe a minute. Then she was all smiles again...till we got in the car when she passed out *smile* .

Her appointment wasn't actually scheduled till Monday, but the doctors office called me this morning telling me that she needed to come in and get one shot before her set on Monday. I didn't understand why, but I'm also not a doctor, so I took her in this afternoon...just to have the nurse ask me if I would like to just have all of them done today. What the heck? So I asked if that's possible...explaining what they told me over the phone...also telling her that Kylie is currently in treatment for thrush...she said she talked to the doctor and she gave the okay. Then I asked what shots Kylie will be receiving today...she said 3 in the thigh and one in the mouth. I about walked out when she said on in the mouth...turns out, she mis-spoke, it was an oral dose for the RotoVirus. Anyway, Kylie did great...a little sore tonight, but she is our tough little monster.

Thrush

My baby girl has Thrush...poor thing is miserable, but we got her on antibiotics and it seems to already be helping.

What is thrush?
Thrush is a yeast infection that causes white patches in the mouth and on the
tongue. Thrush is most common in babies and older adults, but it can occur at any age.
What causes thrush?
You get
thrush when a yeast called Candida, normally found on the body, grows out of control.
In babies,
Candida causes thrush because babies' immune systems are not yet strong enough to control the growth of the yeast. Older people get thrush because their immune systems can weaken with age.
Some people get thrush when they take certain medicines, such as
antibiotics or inhaled corticosteroids. People who have health problems, such as diabetes or HIV, are also more likely to get thrush.
What are the symptoms?
The most common symptoms of thrush are white patches that stick to the inside of the mouth and tongue
.
In babies, it is easy to mistake thrush for milk or formula. It looks like cottage cheese or milk curds. Don't try to wipe away these patches, because you can make them red and sore. Some babies with thrush can be cranky and do not want to eat.
How is thrush diagnosed?
In most cases, doctors can diagnose thrush just by looking at the white patches. Your doctor will also ask you questions about your health. If your doctor thinks that a health problem, such as
diabetes, may be causing thrush, you may also be tested for that condition.
How is it treated?
Thrush in babies is usually not serious, and you can treat it with antifungal medicine such as
nystatin liquid. In most cases, you will put the medicine directly on the white patches. When a baby has thrush, the yeast can cause a diaper rash at the same time as thrush. Your baby may need nystatin cream or ointment for his or her diaper area.
To treat thrush in adults, at first you will probably use medicine that goes directly on the white patches, such as a liquid or a lozenge. If these medicines don't work, your doctor may prescribe an antifungal pill.
How can you manage thrush?
If your baby has thrush, it may help to:
Clean bottle nipples and pacifiers regularly using hot water.
Clean your nipples with medicine, such as nystatin, if you breast-feed your baby. Breast-feeding mothers and babies can pass a yeast infection back and forth.

Growing like a weed.

Kylie is growing so dang fast. She holds her head up strong for long periods of time, she is scooting all over the place and almost able to roll over from back to tummy. Good God! I didn't even think about the fact that she is going to be crawling soon and following us around...getting into stuff...WOW! Reality has struck me!

She looks like she is going to have curly hair...or wavy at least, and I cant tell for sure, but her eyes might turn brown. Such a beautiful little angel.

She has been such a happy girl (my little smilie Kylie)...playing with her spit bubbles *giggle* and last night we walked around the front yard and she couldn't get enough of the big trees. She loves the outdoors. She is just so aware...so intrigued by everything...curious...she is smart.

Last night, she had a bottle at 7pm...then fell asleep and was out for the night...I figured she would wake up around 2 or 2:30am, as she usually does, and I would feed and change her. Well....she didn't...actually, let me specify...if she did, momma didn't wake up. Yeah, I'm an awful mother. I forgot to turn the baby monitor back on...she is literally right next door, and I didn't hear her cry IF she woke up at 2am. But, I woke up at 5 hearing her fuss. She wasn't crying like she does if she has been crying for more than a few minutes, so I'm thinking she slept through the night. But what if she didn't sleep the whole time? What if she woke up, cried for me, and when I didn't show up she cried herself back to sleep till 5? Doesn't that fall under neglect? I feel sooo bad. That means she went like 10 hours without a bottle. However, she is just as happy today as she was yesterday. Acted a little out of the ordinary for a few this morning, but I think it was just a little gas because she burped really well for me and now she is napping.

Anyway, she is growing so fast...before we know it, she is going to be walking & talking. Help us all *giggle*.

Bottles, Diapers, Keys...adventures of a workin' mommy...

Kylie has been attending Daycare. I started her in there before going back to work, for one, so she could get used to the idea (as well as us) and another reason was so I could get things done around the house...uninterrupted. We have to pay to keep her spot anyway, so might as well use it, right? Anyway, I really like this daycare...its on base, so its clean and professional. They don't just let the kids be lazy, they teach them things, and interact with them...I think that's fantastic. The only complaint I have...and I guess it really isn't a "complaint" its more of an observation...the teachers in Ky's room are a little overly concerned. Don't get me wrong, I want them to take care of her and pay attention to the things that may seem abnormal...but babies spit up and sleep...that's just how they are. One of the girls there said, "I noticed Kylie has been spitting up a lot. Its not something I think is very normal...most babies don't spit up soo much after every feeding. Does she do that at home with you? I was thinking you might want to check with her doctor about acid reflux." I explained to her that I already have talked to the pediatrician because I noticed it also, and they said that as long as Kylie is gaining weight, she is eating, sleeping, and what not...its not something to worry too much about. But if she is loosing weight or acting out of her normal state, then bring her in. I explained this a few weeks ago...but the day care keeps bringing it up as a concern of theirs. I appreciate it, but I'm a good mom, Matthew is a wonderful dad, and if there was a problem, we would most definitely take her in and find a way to take care of it. One day, Matthew picked her up, and they were worried because she slept for about 3 hours while she was there...Well, that's what babies do. They sleep...a lot. Lol. She is only 2 months old...she is a growing girl and needs her beauty sleep. I think she was finally able to sleep so long there because she is getting used to it...before, she couldn't fall asleep because it is a different surrounding, new people, screaming babies all around her. Not something she was used to before. All in all though, I really do like this daycare. I trust them with my daughter, and that's a big deal.

Kylie is still trying to break that little tooth through...it causes her a significant amount of pain at times, I can tell. Breaks my heart that I cant do much for her. She doesn't like the teething rings, the gel doesn't seem to numb it long enough to make using it worth while...so, I guess its just something we all three have to ride out. *pout*

I'm back to work, and I enjoy having a break from the house...get some outside social time...some extra income...its nice. I just miss the hell out of my little girl though. It is so exciting to get off work and get to pick her up from daycare and come home to daddy. It's the highlight of my day.

Griswold Family Vacation

It was Kylie's first vacation. We went to Pismo Beach with the family. Scott, Nicole, Maddy, Kayla, Chad, Candice, Grace, Zack, and of course Matthew, Me, and Ky were all there. I know, a lot of people right? *Giggle* We got there on the 6th and stayed thru the 8th.

Day one: We got to the hotel too early to check in...they were double cleaning it for Grace (due to her allergies) and Kylie (being a newborn). So, while we waited for our rooms to be ready for check in, we went to this farmers market called The Barn. It was really neat, very kid friendly. They had lot of animals there for the kids to see and feed. We saw a male peacock showing off. He had his tail feathers down till we walked up, then he started strutting his feathers like crazy *laughing*. They had fresh fruits and veggies, ice cream shop, and a tractor ride that the kids got to go on. After we left The Barn, we check in in to our rooms and then played some beach volleyball. That was so much fun, I used to be great at volleyball in Middle School and High School. I even played a little in College, but never in the sand...that is so difficult, but way fun! We had dinner at Brad's BBQ. It was pretty good...but we were eating outside and it was chilly...I was under the impression that being at the beach in July wouldn't be so cold...so I packed shorts, tanks, and sandals *smile*. But the food was great.

Day two: We got up and went next door to Chad and Candice's room for breakfast. Then got ready to head down to the beach. Baby girl didn't want to sleep at all, she was so excited about the beach...she was looking all around and smiling so much...she loved it. She is very outdoorsy...just like her mommy and daddy. I played in the sand with the girls for a little while before I had to feed Ky. Matthew put up the tent so that we could lay her in it and feed her out of the wind. But I wasn't able to use it because the bottle was too cold, she didn't want it...so I took her back up to the room to feed her. Meanwhile, Matt went with his dad to rent wet suites and boogey boards for the boys. We ate lunch and then went back down to the beach. It was so funny watching them catch the waves. I took a walk up and down the beach with Ky. She ended up passing out right away. Anyway, after the boys got back to shore, we packed up and played beach volleyball again...but everyone was so tuckered from the game the day before, and the boys were tuckered from being out in the ocean fighting with the waves *giggle*. Most of us got pretty burnt, but it was worth it...so much fun. To relax as well as rinse off the sand, we all got in the pool/spa. We decided then that we would have dinner at the Ol' Port Inn. We found it on our honeymoon, and thought everyone might enjoy it, so we took them there. Its this restaurant out on the end of the pier down Avila Beach. There are windows in the tables for you to look down under the pier and see wild life. Its were a lot of Sea Lions hang out. I love that restaurant. We were going to play some card games when we all got back to our rooms, but everyone was just so wasted from the busy day, we decided to call it a night.

Day three: We were all pretty tired and it was the last day. The boys were talking about going out boogey boarding again at like 6am, but when the morning came, they all decided not to. Ha! Saw that coming. I thought they were crazy for even talking about going out that early. It was freezing most of the time we were there...I couldn't imagine going out at 6 in the morning. We had cinnamon rolls and then got ready to do some shopping at the outlet malls. But Scott, Nicole and the girls were ready when we were, and everyone else was still trying to get things together and get ready, so we took a walk with the kids. We wanted to go to the pet shop, but it was closed because of a fire in the upstairs. So we browsed a few shops instead. Matthew was going to do family photos for everyone, but the spot we saw of Shell Beach Drive turned out to be private property...so we found a different spot...thanks to me, however, it was a waste of time. I left the SD card in the laptop, so the pictures we took had nowhere to save to. I'm so sorry everyone...my bad. *pout*. We went to the outlet malls, Matthew and I bought a few outfits from Carter's for Ky, then we all went out separate ways. We went to Moro Bay for lunch at the Pizzeria and to browse the gift shops. We wanted to find something for Kylie's first trip to the beach. We got her a onesie and us a shot glass to add to our collection. Then we headed home. Now, I have so much laundry and cleaning to do. Kylie's nose seems to be doing so much better now that we are home. She has been having a runny/stuffy nose. It started before we got there, and seemed to get worse while we were there. The ped said that there isn't much we can do because she is so young, just keep using the saline drops to break it all up.

*Giggle* I'm not sure how rambling this blog is, but that was our Griswold Vacation. I'm so glad we went. Ky's cousins just adore her...they were so enamored with everything she did. Sleeping, eating, smiling...it was cute.

We had a lot of fun. Now back to this desert heat. Blah!

Independence Day

Kylie's First Holiday!

Yesterday, Kylie and I went to the lake for a Griswold Fourth of July bbq and to watch the fireworks over the lake. Daddy had to work so he wasn't able to go with us, but next year hopefully he will. It was great. Windy at first, but once the sun set, it died down some. The fireworks were way better than the ones here in town. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures because I was holding a sleeping little baby girl. But maybe next year we will get lot of pictures and perhaps some good ones of the fireworks with the reflection off the lake.

Tonight, we are all going to my moms to have dinner, set off a few fireworks, and then Matt has to work...I think I might go to his work to watch the fireworks with him...*wink & grin*.

Happy Fourth Everyone! Have fun but be safe!

For the Fourth of July!

I totally bought Kylie a dress for the Fourth of July!

He daddy let me *wink*. I was so worried about what she will wear for her first holiday...she has nothing but pink things! *giggle* But I found, at Wal-Mart, a White dress, with Red and Blue on it! There is pink on it too...but its not too noticeable. Unfortunately my husband wont be home to celebrate the holiday with us, I will still try to find something for us to do. Maybe Ky wont remember her first holiday, but I will. We most likely wont do fire crackers cause I don't think she will like that much, but a bbq would be nice.

Depression??

Well, I cant quite describe it. I feel depressed, and for no reason at all. Nothing in particular is bothering me. I wish I were working already. Kylie is already enrolled in daycare, so that's not the issue. My work isn't willing to work with my availability until the 12th of July. I'm a little concerned about our finances, even though I know we have been in worse circumstances and always find away through...but for some reason, I cant shake this. Yesterday we discontinued Direct TV and went with NetFlix. So much cheaper and so worth it. Trying to find ways of saving $money$.
Kylie came home today with a cold/allergies. She isn't fussing over it, but I feel so sad for her, she can hardly breathe through her nose. I'm going to take her in tomorrow to have her checked out.
I know that this depressed feeling is supposed to be normal, but how long does it last??? After I go back to work, if it doesn't go away, I'm going to talk to my doctor about it. I don't like feeling this way. I didn't even sleep well last night. Woke up crying and uncomfortable. Fortunately I'm not taking it out on my wonderful husband and beautiful baby girl...but I know they can sense it and I don't want this negativity in our home.

Post-it Notes

Saturday, June 26, 2010

7 weeks old

Wow, really? Time is seriously flying by. I cant believe that over a month and a half ago, I was in the hospital having this beautiful little miracle...it literally feels like maybe a week ago. Its funny, when you are just a daughter, your parents say things like, "I remember when you were this big. Seems like yesterday, I was holding you in my arms." I was like, "Oh Geeze! So sappy." blah blah blah. You just don't understand what they are feeling when they say things like that...until you experience it yourself. Now I get it. I cant imagine what it is going to feel like when my baby gets married and has a baby of her own.

Anyway, I already posted about her tooth coming in...she isn't too cranky over it, she is drooling more, but nothing too extreme. However, I can tell it is bothering her more and more, especially today. She bites down on her sizzle (pacifier) and then spits it out. I don't know what to do for her because she is still so little, a teething ring is too big for her to chew on. Guess we are just going to have to ride this one out for a little while.

She is officially moving up to 4 oz. We thought she was ready for 3 oz a while back ago, but there were a few bottles that it seemed to be too much for her. She was spitting a lot of it up, so we decreased it back down to 2 oz bottles. But, a couple nights ago, I decided to try giving her 4 oz to see if she would sleep a little longer throughout the night...sure enough, she didn't spit any up, and slept like a baby (no punt intended). I gave her 2 oz this morning, she was fine with that for the most part, but started screaming, I thought it was just cause she was cranky, maybe gassy, so we went on our walk...she dozed off as we got closer to coming back home, but once we got back inside she was awake and crying again, so I changed her bottom and gave her another bottle...she slept for about 2 hours and was ready to eat again. I, again, gave her 2 oz. That apparently wasn't enough *giggle* so we made another bottle and she drank almost the full 2 ounces of that one...now she is sleeping sound again. So, I guess, 2 ounces just isn't quite enough...its on to 4 ounces now. She is my growing little lady bug.

Its hard to keep this as updated as I would like...being a mommy takes up a lot of your time and energy, so although I would like to log every little thing that Miss Kylie does...(like right now, she is starting to wake up and because she lost her sizzle she found her fingers {the same ones I sucked on when I was a baby, the two middle one} and is making cute little sounds)...I just don't quite have the time. I was going to print all these blogs and put them in a binder to make a journal for Kylie, but my printer is being a bit stubborn...so soon, I will have them printed out. I'm also going to make a quilt out of her baby clothes...gotta invest in a sewing machine...and sewing lessons *giggle*. Well, monster is waking up, so I need to wrap up this rambling I'm doing. Until next time......

Teething at 2 months???

My daughter is teething...Already! About a week ago, my mom said she thought she could feel a tooth coming in...I didn't really believe it because Kylie is soo young. I thought, "there is no way she is teething already, I think its just her gums, maybe they are callused or something." Sure enough, yesterday, I checked out her bottom gums again, and you can see the tip of the left front tooth peeking out. She is a trooper, cause I didn't even know. I noticed she was drooling more and biting at her pacifier, but I thought that was normal. She is almost 7 weeks old...and already working on her first tooth. Whoa!

Making Tutus for Infants

Baby tutus are so super easy to make and they come out fabulous! No-one will ever know you made it yourself unless you tell them.
Supplies needed to make baby tutus:

elastic - this is for the waist band of the tutu. You can use regular elastic used for sewing in waistbands. I like to buy colored hair bands. The large kind that are meant to fit on an adults head as a headband. I use these because they just plain look more polished if any of the elastic ends up showing.
spool of tulle - I used the 6 inch width. Use whatever size or color makes you happy!

SHE IS SMILING!

Kylie is almost 6 weeks old and already smiles! This is the sweetest most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It melts my heart with happiness! I was giving her kisses on her mouth, she had it open so it made a loud echo, smacking sound, and she smiled so big...she loved it. Then, I was tickling her thighs and she smiled and flung her arms in the air. She smiles when she sees daddy...she loves her daddy more than three inches *wink*. Oh my goodness, its so awesome. I cant wait for her to giggle for the first time! She is precious!

What's on mommy's mind...

I discovered that Kylie is like momma...she gets cold easily. Lol. We were being told that its probably colic, but after researching colic symptoms, I really don't think that's what it is, however, I was feeding her at the beginning thinking that she was crying because she was hungry, I may have been overfeeding her which can cause colic or signs of, but I have gone back to feeding her 2 oz. every 2-4 hours when she is hungry. I have learned what cry she makes when she is hungry, so I'm not mistaken an upset tummy for hunger. Kylie stopped crying every time we bundled her up with extra blankets. Living in the desert, we run the cooler all day long, there fore making it very cold in the house. I didn't run it at all yesterday and she didn't cry except when she was hungry. Apparently, if your cold and cant sleep, you tend to get cranky *sarcasm* Thank Goodness! I'm so glad I figured it out. I hate to see her unhappy. It doesn't feel good when your baby is screaming from discomfort and you feel like nothing you do helps...

Anyway, she is 5 weeks old and getting so big and strong. She holds her head up so well already and when I hold her under her arms, she stands and bounces on her feet. She loves that. I feel like its too soon for her to be able to do that *giggle* I guess I just think of her as the newborn that was just born yesterday though. It all goes by so quickly. I'm glad that I'm able to be home with her and watch her earliest developments. However, I will be going back to work the middle of next month. I'm happy about it, but kinda scared. Lol. How am I going to handle not having my sweet pea near me most of the day? Although, I love the daycare she will be attending. Everyone is so wonderful there and its clean. They spend a lot of one on one quality time with the kids and teach them things. So, even though she wont be home with me working on tummy time, they will be helping her learn to roll over and play. Of course, I'm not going to leave all that up to them, we will work on those things at home as well, but its good to know that she wont be just laying around at some ladies house doing nothing.

July 6th, we will be heading to Pismo Beach! I cant wait. Kylie P's first trip to the beach! Oh my goodness, its going to be a blast. Her aunt, uncle, and cousins from Alaska are coming. They cant wait to meet her. Grandma bought all the grand kids beach toys. She got Kylie a bathing suit, sunglasses with matching hair bows, sandals, and a pail & shovel. I'm a little bummed that she bought Kylie's first swim suit. I wanted to buy things like that for her first...but when I asked Matthew if I could get her a bikini, he said, "Babe, she cant even hardly hold her head up much less swim *laugh*" So, basically that was a no, so I didn't, and then grandma did. Oh well, no big deal I guess. I just hope I can get her something else special first. I don't know what it is about mother's and their first baby...my mom said she knows exactly how I feel, a mother wants to experience buying certain things for their babies first. But, it was sweet of her to think about things like that for the beach...it will be fun, even though Kylie cant play with the shovel and pail, it will be cute props for pictures.

Tomorrow, we are heading to the lake to have pictures done of Kylie. Jocelyn has been waiting for this moment since we found out we were pregnant. Lol. She said she couldn't wait to take maternity pictures for us because we are a fun photogenic couple...and she cant wait to meet Kylie. After seeing her pictures on Facebook, I think she is that much more excited to take pictures of her because she is so cute and photogenic already *wink*. At my baby shower, Jocelyn gave us an outfit for this occasion...its a white onesie with a headband. Has feathers on the flower...its adorable. I cant wait to see the pictures, I know they are going to turn out great. Jocelyn is a wonderful photographer...and a sweet person. Huge Thank You Jocelyn! You can check out her work at her website: http://lykinsphotography.blogspot.com/

Well, I suppose that's everything so far...I mean, I could go on and on...life doesn't stop...but I will save some for the next post *laughing*. Hope everyone is have a great summer so far.

1 month 3 days old

Well, I don't know what the deal has been, but Kylie went from quiet, practically never cry to being loud and angry. Its a side I hoped we would never see. I thought it could be colic, but I'm not sure. However, I have found that if I put a heavier blanket on her, it sooths her to sleep. I'm wondering if she has just been cold. Its so hot outside, so we run the cooler almost all day long...especially because Matthew is sleeping, makes it more comfortable for him to during the day. But, I'm just happy that I am able to make her comfortable and happy. Its rough first time around...being a parent...you don't know what to do, but its amazing how you learn...how the instincts just kick right on in. Lol. I never thought I would be any good at this mothering thing...but TaDa...I'm not too bad at it. I love her with all my heart...even when I'm annoyed and frustrated when she cries and I cant do anything to make it better...she is a wonderful gift. We couldn't ask for more. I'm so lucky and fortunate to have such a beautiful family!

Just like mommy's toes...only cute and tiny *wink*
