Planning Kylie’s First Birthday!

My Inspiration: (Compliments to Jan O'Hara and Kohl's)

Cupcake Cake for Kylie with flowers and stuff to make it more special than the little cupcakes
About 2 dozen Cupcakes for guests (½ chocolate ½ vanilla)
Cupcake filling and filler (maybe)
Pink Brown and White Cupcake Liners (preferably stripped)
Cupcake Tree Holder
Cutouts and icing
Cupcake Cookie Cutters (maybe 3 different sizes)
Cupcake Invitations (9)
Napkins
Cups
Plates
Table Liner
Cupcake Balloon
Pink and Brown and White Balloons
Pink and Brown and White Streamers
Favors: Cupcake mix in jars
~Simply buy boxes of cake mix, shredded coconut, chocolate chip morsels and mason jars. Then divide your cake mix into 3rds and layer the remaining ingredients into your jars! You can then attach baking instructions to the backs of your party favor tags!
*Making 9 jars…buy: 9 mason jars, 6 boxes of cake mix. 2 bag of chocolate chip morsels and something pink for the top (Sprinkles, candies…)

Kylies Birthday Dress

Cupcakes!
What You'll Need:
24 cupcakes
24 pieces of Double Bubble bubble gum
Spool of green thread-covered wire (found at Michael's in the floral section)
Toothpicks
Buttercream frosting (double batch)
Chocolate royal icing
Decorating bags and Wilton tips #3 and #18
Pink icing coloring
Instructions:
Unwrap the bubble gum and roll each piece into a ball. Cut a stem for each cherry out of the covered wire. Use a toothpick to poke a hole in the top of each piece of gum; insert the "stems." Set aside.
Frost 12 of the cupcakes with white buttercream. Tint a portion of the buttercream with just a tiny bit of the pink icing coloring; frost the remaining cupcakes pink. (I mean, literally, add the coloring a speck at a time with a toothpick. The pink coloring is very potent and if you add too much you will get a very strong pink). (I’m strongly thinking about doing fondant so they look like the picture)
Fill a decorating bag with royal icing and fit with a #3 tip. Make an outline of the area where you want "chocolate syrup" on your cupcakes. Thin the remaining icing and fill in the chocolate areas. Let harden.
Fill a decorating bag with remaining white frosting and fit with a #18 tip. Pipe a swirl of "whipped cream" in the center of each cupcake.
Top each cupcake with a bubble gum cherry.
Sit back, admire your creations and enjoy! :)

Cupcake tree: (Wal-Mart $5)
Cookies: (brown, pink, and white)
Favors: 9 mason jars, 6 boxes cake mix, 2 bag chocolate morsels, and something to top it (Sprinkles?), cute material to cover the lid, ribbon to tie on tags with baking instructions on back

Holy Big Girl!

My baby is becoming a toddler too fast. She has been standing unassisted a lot today. She had kind of been doing it before, but not near as confident as she has today. I'm so proud. I think next month she will be walking.
Whats funny, she was standing up right next to her purse, I looked at Matthew and said, I think it would be adorable if she stands up holding her purse...sure enough. LoL! It amazes me and makes me smile EVERYtime she stands up. I just cant believe it.

Im getting lousey at blogging...so, Facebook will help me catch up...

More to come...but....
Hahaha! While I was gone for my eye follow up, Kylie got tired of playing with daddy, so he laied on the floor playing his game and she was hanging out right next to him. He noticed she was being really quiet but she was still right by him, so he kept doing his thing, but she was still being so quiet, so he looks at her, she had his wallet and was pulling everything out of it...credit cards, drivers license, all of it. LOL! She cracks me up!

He doesn't know how I got it because its most common in contact wearer's. Basically its a bacterial infection that causes and ulcer on the cornea. There is a cloudy spot on the color of my eye, I thought this whole time it was Conjunctivitis and was treating it with Pink eye drops, but the other day I looked closer because my eye felt like something was in it, something big like a piece of rock or dirt, the redness was getting bad again and the burning and raw feeling too...when I saw the white I knew something was more wring than just conjunctivitis, so I went to my actual optometrist t (urgent care doesn't know their asses from a hole in the ground) he was super conceded right away, he wouldn't even tell me what he thought until he put the dye on my eye and looked closer at it. After asking my pain on a scale 1-10 I replied 4-5 but not consistent and its usually in the evening it gets so bad I hold my eye shut and it gushes water like I was crying from one eye. LOL. He said he was surprised I wasn't in more pain. He told me to take the drops he was prescribing every other hour the first day and four times a day the next and he would see me Wednesday. I went in today, the redness has gone down a lot but my eye still feels raw and Burns. He looked at it and said that he can see some improvement from Monday, but its still pretty bad. He prescribed me additional drops that I have to take 10 minutes after the ones I'm already taking 4 times a day. LOL, then he tells me after the chart exam that he saw me squint. Looks like I may need glasses. Super! LOL. Would explain most of my headaches and migraines. Hubby keeps saying he is going to buy me a Bedazzler to make me a pretty eye patch. LOL. I love him!

Oh my...I'm laughing because Kylie is laughing but she's laughing because I'm laughing. Her giggle just gets me every time. This could go on for a while. for a while.

Epic! Matthew's 80 year old grandparents remembered our anniversary. We are 25 and forgot. I just find that hilarious! ;)

How chaotic has 2011 been for the Griswolds??? Well, we both forgot our 2 year wedding anniversary yesterday.:( Sooo ♥ HAPPY (belated) ANNIVERSARY SWEETHEART ♥ There are many more to celebrate, we will just have to make up for this one next year.

♥ although I haven't quite been myself lately (woman/hormonal moments LOL) and I have a hole in my cornea *giggle* (sorry, its just way funnier to say it like that then corneal ulcer) I'm now relaxing in that comfy nook by.my hubby, ignoring this Mythbusters episode about spiders (those who don't already know, I'm a major arachnophobic) eating Good & Plenty's. ♥

Kylie's birthday is all planned out...all that's left is shopping for it all.

Just whats in my mind...

So, I get asked a lot, "When are you two going to have another baby?" and its usually followed by,"You guys just make to beautiful of babies you have to have another." Although very sweet and flattering, we may not have another. Definitely not anytime soon. Kylie is our pride and joy. She keeps me plenty busy, happy, and proud. In this generation, finances are at an all time low when in comparison to cost of living. Most people wouldn't get by if it weren't for credit cards and loans. We are fortunate enough to not have to use credit cards to get by and I'm one.of the few.lucky women who gets to be a stay at home mom. If we had another, not only would I lose my mind starting all over while chase my quick little bug around, but I would have to find a way to work almost full time and still not have to pay for day care. That means less time at home with my family and literally a few hours with my husband. Honestly, this is my family, and sometimes less is more. Kylie gets plenty of attention, love, nourishment. I always wanted a brother or sister, but being an only child doesn't have to be so bad. I have several friends with children that Kylie and be friends with, when she begins school she will make even more friends, and I couldn't he more excited to have slumber parties at our place. Movies, popcorn, games...yes, noisy girls and messes to clean, but how fun. Kylie will have plenty of company, she wont miss out on not having siblings.

Kylie got herself some wheels...

Kylie got this dinosaur with wheels. The back legs can be open so they can use it as a walker, and When they get bigger, you can close it so they can ride it. Well, Kylie seems to love it. She feels so good to be able to walk all the way across the room. After walking around with that for a while, she became more confident and stood unassisted, for at least a few seconds, twice yesterday. Milestone after milestone...she is just learning so fast. I'm proud and excited. She's perfect!

Simply Irresistible

My daughter...Oh my daughter! She has enough character/personality for about 5 babies! She cracks me up. Currently, I mean literally right this minute, she is crawling all over the place saying "momma" and "baba" and blowing raspberries. She is giggling, squealing, and just having a good 'ol time playing by herself. I love watching her. She is still in her jammies, so when she tries to walk/crawl on the tile, she slips and slides all over. It reminds me of 101 Dalmatians, when the puppies are walking over the ice...yup, that's my daughter. I love it. Her voice, her laugh, her smile and expressions...it makes me so proud and happy every time. Lately she hasn't been much like herself because she has this damn cold. The weather has been wild for the desert. We had snow...and not just like, "oh look, a little bit of snow that wont even stick and will be done in about an hour." We got actual, stick to the ground, last for over a day, snow! So, you can understand why all of us are having some nose issues. LoL!

There are so many milestone that she is just zipping through. Its hard to keep up with writing it all down. Id rather just enjoy it while it lasts. Pretty much, she isn't satisfied with crawling being her form of transportation...she wants to walk so badly. I say, take your time, she say Hells No Momma! She is a determined little stinker like her momma, and a silly goose like her dadda! She keeps getting under the end table and looking up through the glass...its hilarious. Well, I could write about her all day, but I will leave at this for now, and post some pictures...shoot...there are so many to chose from, I'm not sure which to post....*giggle*

Sleep talking...

Adorable! At 4 o'clock this morning, I woke up to my KylieBug making noises. Thinking she just couldn't find her sizzle, I got up and went to her room to find that she wasn't even awake at all. She was curled up in a little ball at the foot of her crib. She was on her tummy but with her legs tucked under her like a froggy. She was still talkin' away. Her sizzle was at the opposite side of the crib with her blanket between. I didn't want to stay long because I didn't want the hall light to wake her, but I couldn't help but smile and admire her. Its so warm and fuzzy to see such innocence.

I wish she didn't have a cold, its snowing...and for the desert, that's a big deal. I want her to be able to be out in it, but we don't want her out there while already sick.

So, not exactly an exciting story, but something to write about none the less. Kylie stayed the night at her grandparents on Tuesday. There was a storm coming in, but we figured it was no big deal. Anytime they get snow, CalTrans usually keeps the roads pretty clear, not to mention we would have the truck. Well, we went to meet them at the top of the hill on 178, and about 2 miles from our meeting destination, we hit black ice. Matthew is a great driver, he stayed calm and handled it the best he could. When we started fishtailing, I said "Oh Shit!" and my mind was thinking, this isnt really happening...its weird how even in the middle of something tradgic, you still dont believe that its happening. The back end of the driver side hit the mountain, we slide a little ways before the truck spun a 360 and our front end was in the hill. Immediately Matthew and I were checking on eachother to make sure we were okay. I was so dizzy and disoriented, but I knew that I was okay...heck, I wasnt even worried about my self at all...I was so scared that my husband was hurt. At the first impact, my face hit the passager window, and possibly something else, I dont remember hitting anything other than the window, but I ended up with a black eye and a small cut on my eyelid. That couldnt have been caused by hitting the window alone. We thought I broke my hand, but its just pretty bruised. Thankfully, thats all that happend. A few bumps and bruises and whiplash. As soon as Matthew knew I was okay, he freaked out telling me to get out of the truck. I didnt know why, I was afraid that he smelt gas, or thought the airbags would deploy, so I was hessitant because I wanted him to get out of there also. I later found out that he didnt want someone to come around the turn, not see the truck sticking out in the road and hit us with me in it. It was windy and snowing. It was only 6pm, but felt like 10...dark and freezing. I was standing by myself, feeling scared, alone, and relieved all at the same time. My husband and I were okay, and our daughter wasnt in the truck. Lucky lucky lucky. I couldnt have been more relieved about all that. It was still very scary. A man pulled up, asked if we were okay, we asked him to let the white car at the top of the hill that we were in an accident, okay, but they needed to come get us. Shortly after that, a lady pulled up and gave us a jacket to stay warm. My in laws showed up and I got in the car and started crying because I was so happy to see my baby girl. My hands were icicles, so I couldnt touch her, but that was okay. I wanted Matthew to get in the car and get warm, but he was outside directing traffic and being his typical self...stubborn busy body. My in laws took Kylie and I home, Matthew waited with the Police Officer for the tow truck to arrive. When they got home with the truck, we decided that it would be best, insurance wise, to have him take the truck to the yard rather than do it later. Pretty sure the truck is totalled...honestly, we hope it is. We have Gap protection on it, so they will just pay it off and we wont have to make payments on a vehicle we arent even driving. Ironic...we were trying to sell it. The other crazy thing is that Matthew is the fourth officer in his station to get into an accident. Four people in 2 months...what kind of voodoo is on that department?

Anyway, we are safe at home. Our daughter is crazy, she is trying so hard to walk. She keeps saying Momma and daddy has been trying so hard for her to say Dada. When he says, "Say Dada." she says "Momma." *giggle* She has a cold, which is making her miserable...on top of teething. I wish there was more that we could do for her, but sadly, its just something we have to ride out. Gotta go...cranky pants is at it again...

1st Christmas

Kylie had a wonderful first Christmas. Unfortunately, today, she is very cranky and I don't have time to write all about it. She got a lot of great gifts and so much love from all our friends and family. Its been a very chaotic holiday, and I'm relieved that its over, but it was so much fun watching my daughter bust into her presents. My family is my best gift Ever! I couldn't ask for more. Merry Christmas everyone!

Not enough minutes in the day...

Shoot, I have fallen so behind on my blogs, I don't even know where to begin. So much has happened. Kylie has mastered crawling, but still isn't satisfied with the form of transportation. My determined little bug wants so badly to walk...I say, "Take your time! No need for rushing."
Here's the thing, not that she is mobil, I'm on more of a constant alert than before. She is stressing me out less about the fireplace, mostly because she is less clumsy and she sits on it more than trying to stand on it. But her newest infatuation is the entertainment center. Now its not just the movies, she wants to get the Xbox and pull herself up. Ridiculous! She is growing so fast...right before our eyes. As of yesterday, my sweet girl says "momma" *smiling proudly ear to ear* I'm working on trying to get her to say "Dada".
With the holidays just around the corner, I have been feeling overwhelmed and a little stressed. But, things will work out...they always do. I am officially a stay home mom, and although I'm relieved to have one less thing on my mind all the time (work) being a mother, as all moms know, is a 24/7 job...and its exhausting. I enjoy it most days, but there are those days where you just want a break. A break from dishes, laundry, cleaning, and taking care of a mobile 7mo old...who recently has had some very cranky days. Teething...not so much my best friend. The constant fidgeting and playing while eating...super annoying. At this rate, "No" and "Stop" are words she will be saying soon.
Personality...galore! She is definitely our daughter...I especially see her dad in her behavior. What a character, I love it!
Well, I honestly don't know whatelse to write...so much has happened since I last blogged, these were the few things that stood out in my mind. Kylie is a beautiful baby, too quickly becoming a gorgeous girl. I'm thankful to be a stay at home mom, I get to see every milestone and cherish every moment...
Until the next time I have spare time to write...

spaghetti on my mind?

Last night (or should I say this morning) Kylie lost her sizzle at 1:30am, I got up, took care of her, and when I layed back in bed I felt wide awake. So my mind, my stupid restless mind, began to ramble. I was thinking about how I was going to make spaghetti for dinner and what I would need to get from the store...apparently that lead to that children's song, the one about the meatball that falls on the floor and rolls out the door. I imagined Kylie about 3 years old and we were singing that song when at the end, after the meatball rolls out the door, Kylie asks what happened after that, I told her,"It rolled into the street, got ran over by a car, and *clapped hands* SPLAT, it became a hamburger patty." So this song replayed in my head (possible because I don't know all the words) over and over until I finally fell back to sleep around 3am.

On another note, update on Kylie, she is officially mobile and getting into everything *laughing*. But I love it. One thing I'm not real fond of, raspberries during eating time. Oh my...its cute while we are just playing, but spitting food at me...not so cute. Yet it does make me want to chuckle a little bit, but I have to keep serious when I scold her so she knows I mean business. Just this morning her daddy had to walk away cause he couldn't hold it. Kids are to funny.

crawling

My little girl doesn't seem so little anymore. She is growing so fast. She crawled to the Christmas tree and got ahold of one of her cousins presents, then she crawled to the DVDs...and we can't really get on to her about getting into things she shouldn't because she is learning and achieving mobility. I do tell her no when she starts grabbing the DVDs and move her back to the middle of the living room, I just hope she understands what I'm saying no to *giggle*. It just makes me so proud. The other, night she discovered how to get from the crawling position to sitting on her butt all by herself, as well as standing up with her hands on the ground, toy, or mommas tummy. She is becoming more stable as she stands near or holding myself or the couch without help...I just can't believe she is able to do all this already. It feels like she was just born a month ago...but its really been 7 months???

Anyway, last night we went to the Winter Wonderland. Kylie met Santa. It was a lot of fun. A lovely family outing.

Pinkeye EVERYWHERE

Thanks to Kylie's superb sharing skills, mommy got stinkin Pinkeye *giggle*. I love you bug, and its very nice to share, but you don't have to share things like that, k pumpkin? So, now I'm in the process of sanitizing everything. All the blankets washed, check...the counter tops and tables disinfected, check. Why does Conjunctivitis have to be so dang contagious?

6month check up...

‎50th percentile for weight (16 lbs)

60th percentile for height (26.5")

Our little girl is growing too fast. She will be 7 months old in a week! Oh dear! Well, she had her 6 month check up yesterday, she is right on track with her milestones, and healthy. She had to get shots...talk about misery. I almost found myself crying when she was getting them because of the look on her face combined with the tears. Since she got those shots, she has been so cranky...needless to say, mommy and daddy didnt get much sleep last night...and today, looks to be a rough day as well. Her previous shots didnt react this way. But she is healthy and thats what matters.

Ky's first Thanksgiving

Kylie got to try new foods! I'm so excited! Her first Thanksgiving couldn't have been at a better age. She tasted Mashed Potatos, some of my 7 Layer Bean Dip, & Pumpkin Pie. Needless to say, she didn't like any of them yet, but I think its great that I was able to let her try some new things.

So, the start of the day began at 4am for me...super! *giggle*. Kylie woke up at 4, then 4:30, and 15 minute increments after that till I got up with her at 6, fed her, and she was ready to go back to sleep. So I put her back down in her crib, she slept till 8, while I was wide awake and made the bean dip and got ready for the day. Then we went to my moms for the day, but Kylie is at the age where she doesn't want to take naps anywhere but home in her crib, so she was really cranky and wouldn't nap. We came home, I took a nap with her for 2 hours, and then daddy got home from work. We all headed back to my moms house for dinner. There was a lot going on with all the kids there, so Kylie got worn out pretty quickly. I figured as soon as we got back home she would pass out, but she didn't. She rolled All over the place laughing and playing. It appears she loves her home and is most comfortable in it. Anyway, dinner was great, and this weekend, we are going to put up the Christmas decorations so Ky can get the full Christmas experience for her 1st time! Yay! These holidays are the best in my life!

Look mom...my tongue...

Just the other day, my Kylie Bug discovered she could stick out her tongue...yesterday, she discovered she can blow raspberries. Oh dear! *giggle* its adorable for now, but I'm not looking forward to her doing it all the time, especially during feeding time. It truly amazes me how quickly she is growing and learning...tell you what, the fireplace is going to give me a heart attack. She is so close to crawling, its time to start baby proofing. Humm. So, anyway, here is a picture of her sticking her tongue out, I will try to capture her expression when she is blowing raspberries *wink*

FIRST HAIR CUT

Auntie Nicole gave Kylie her first hair cut the other day. She was a little squirmy but still such a good girl. I know it seems so soon to have her first hair cut, but she is a lot like her mommy. I had my first hair cut at 1 month old. We have fabulous hair! Nicole only trimmed the back fly aways and her bangs. We left the sides and the top. Anyway, there wasn't enough to keep her "first curl" but next time I will keep a lock of her hair.

Cute'N'Crafty

A good friend of mine recently started selling her adorable bows and tutus. She makes headbands with the big flowers that everyone loves putting on little girls. She has adorable pigtail bows, and my favorite...the tutus! I'm so excited for her, and hope she does well with this little business of hers. All the years I have known her, she is so creative, and I know she truly enjoys the hobby. Please check out her site, and tell your friends.

So, today, Kylie and I are baking Snicker Doodle Cookies for daddy, and making him Pork Chops and Twice Baked Potatoes. He has been working so hard to provide for our family, and even with being so exhausted, he still helping out around the house and taking care of us...its the least we can do to show our appreciation for all his hard work. We love him more than three inches, and although I know he knows we do, I hope that we are able to show it too. Well, of course Kylie can, she can easily cheer both of us up with a simple smile and make us laugh with her beautiful giggle.

Kylie has been very chatty lately, and oh yes, she has definitely found her big girl voice if I ever heard one. I love it!

She has eaten Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, Bananas, and attempted to eat Peas for daddy last night, but I don't know if she just doesn't like peas or if she was being a butt for daddy, *giggle*, however we are going to try peas again tonight. I'm so proud of our little monster. She is developing so well, and brightening our whole world more and more each day. No one else has that power to make my heart melt the way my wonderful husband and daughter do. Xoxo I love you both!

We were watching Hoodwinked in bed...she sits up so well these days.

I literally put some water in the sippy, handed it to her, and she held it like a pro and was drinking out of it. She is such a fast learner and so much fun!

Kylie Likes Veggies!

She ate the entire jar of squash. Turns out, the reason she didn't like the baby foods at first was because I didn't warm them up enough...I'm so excited.  And apparently we can let her try to drink from a cup.  I thought she was too young, but these days, they try to get babies off the bottles by a year old.  I don't know what it is, but I want to share my food with Kylie, so I'm super stoked that she is getting ready for new foods. But for now, its still baby steps, no pun intended *wink* hopefully she doesn't have any food allergies.

My new favorite picture

We have attempted baby foods, but Kylie is not fond of any kind yet. I tried squash first, she slammed her mouth shut and refused to open up again. *giggle* I don't like squash either *wink*. So, I then tried sweet potatoes thinking maybe she would like them...nope... I didn't want to try fruits first because they are sweet and I don't want her to only eat fruits and not want anything to do with veggies...but I tried pears anyway, just too see how she would react. She doesn't like any of it...only her rice cereal...so we will try try again. Its way fun! I love being a mommy!

Cutest Lady Bug EVER

Our Lady Bugs First Halloween...

Kylie may not remember her first Halloween, but I will, so this is a BIG deal to me *giggle*. We couldn't decide what to dress her up as. I was disappointed that all the baby costumes were the buntings, or in the store they were just little hoodies. Those are not costumes. Ugh. But then I got a call from my mother in law. She was at Kohl's and found a lady bug costume in Kylie's size. Her daddy wanted to dress her up as a monster, but we couldn't find one we liked that was feminine. We weren't going to dress her up as a lady bug because that was an obvious choice *laughing* and its not "scary" as my husband put it. Well, lady bug it is. And how adorable! Mommy and Daddy are not dressing up this year...maybe next year. We are going to take Ky out Tick-or-Treating at a few houses...mostly friends. I will post pictures of her in her costume later.

Wedding Attire

She looked so adorable at our friend's wedding...which of course means she attracted too much attention...I began just simply replying every ones, "Aw, she is too cute." comments with, "Thank you. Her name is Kylie, she is almost 6 months old." because it always lead to the questions of name, age, etc. *giggle* What can I say, my daughter turns heads everywhere we go. In the grocery stores, I have to cover her up sometimes because people get in her face.

Splish Splash...

Kylie discovered splashing in the bath...its adorable. She smiled so BIG. I love it! We tried her Halloween costume on today too...she is soooo A-freakin'-dorable.

On a not so fun note, my poor sweet Kylie Bug is miserable today. She is just teething so hard. We had a rough night last night, she woke up looking for her sizzle at 10, 12, 3, 6, and we were up for the day at 6:30. This is a VERY unusual sleep pattern for her. She usually sleeps through the night and is ready for the day between 6:30 and 7:30, but her poor mouth is just not allowing her to sleep in comfort. I don't know what to do. I feel I have tried everything. She doesn't nap during the day like she should, she sleeps for like 15-20 mins and then is awake still cranky. Needless to say, we are over this teething stage. BOOO to teething!

What a BIG girl...

Kylie is growing TOO fast.
She is now eating rice cereal from a spoon and bowl. Oh my.
We haven't started any other foods yet...just getting her familiar with the spoon. Let me tell you what...she is so good at it already. I was surprised. I thought it would take her a while to feel comfortable with swallowing a thicker substance, but she had a blast with it. Her noises...PRICELESS! I love it.
We have been working with her on sitting up...she almost has it. She is still a little wobbly, but she almost sits up on her own. I had her up on her hands and knees a couple times yesterday...it was very impressive.
I had a few friends comment on my Facebook status regarding this...I don't take offense to peoples opinions, and I 100% see what they are trying to say...however, in my personal opinion as a mother, I don't want her to grow up fast, but there isn't anything wrong with teaching her how to do the things she wants to do. I know when she is good and ready, her body will work with her mind, but I feel so good being there, as her mother, and helping/teaching her. Its a rewarding feeling knowing that everyday her and I work on her sitting up on her own, trying to crawl, eating with a spoon...we are doing it together and she is everyday becoming closer and closer to doing those things by herself. Its emotional for me knowing she will be speaking, walking, go to school, have a bad attitude because she is a pissed off teenager, get a job, get married, and one day, my baby will have a baby of her own, but its the facts of life...you cant stop it, so I simply want to be apart of the moments as she is growing...I want to be part of the reason she learned to crawl, speak, and walk...its inevitable...babies grow up...so instead of wishing she would stay little forever, I am going to roll with the milestones, and we will do it as a family. :o) Its one of those GREATEST parts of being a mommy and daddy.
Anyway, on to another topic...Kylie had her first trip to the fair...she loved it. Mommy tried Funnel Cake for the first time...LOVED it. Lol. Daddy won her a Red Sea Turtle from the balloon popping game. We had a blast.
I love the Fall/Autumn...its been raining, thundering and lightening...its awesome.
Halloween is just around the corner and Kylie is going to be a Ladybug. SO EXCITED!!!

Picking up where we left off...

Okay, so I didn't have a chance to type all the information I wanted to before KylieBug started waking from her nap the other day.

She had her 4 month check up about a week or two ago, she is a healthy 12 lbs 4 oz and the nurses were very impressed with her growing/learning progress. She is holding her head up so well on her own, and damn near sitting up without help. She is so interactive with smiling, giggling, talking, and she can pick up, hold, and put things in her mouth like she has been doing it for months. She is one smart baby girl. And if she wants to get somewhere, why crawl when she can roll? *giggle* You think I'm joking, this girl is a Rolliepollie...she is so determined, so she rolls from back to tummy, tummy to back, till she arrives at her preferred destination...its fabulous...no doubt a crack up...but I have caught her quite a few times trying to crawl...she just hasn't quite figured out how to work the front yet. However, its not always all smiles and giggles...she is teething so horribly and it breaks my heart to see her in such agony. When she was 2 months old, as you may recall, she was breaking through her bottom left front tooth...well, that one decided to hide back under the gums and her right second from the front one is pushing through with full force it seems. Anything and Everything she can get in her mouth she will chew on...I'm no fan of the teething days. This sweet thing, though, I tell ya, she warms my heart with every coo, smile, giggle, and even just a simple touch. Its a feeling that no one but a mother or father feels...an experience most definitely worth having. I think a life without kids would be a life with something BIG missing...almost dull...your wallet, however, would be much fuller and happier. *laughing* Could diapers and formula get anymore expensive? Good Grief!

Well, its off to bed for this mommy/wifey...but here are a couple of new pictures of my gorgeous, healthy, growin' girl!

So much going on...

I have really been slacking off on blogging. Basically life is just crazy hectic right now...I don't even know where to begin at the moment. We moved, and that was more stressful than it needed to be. Leave it to Home Sweet Home Reality to make things difficult. Its a long story, I don't think I'm even going to attempt to type it. Besides, its not something I want to put in my daughter's blog book. Yes, I have been printing out all these blogs so that she can read them when she gets older and know what life was like when she was a baby *wink*. Hopefully she will enjoy reading them. I know if I had something like this from when I was a baby, I would think it was the coolest thing. Times just change so much as you grow. What is new to us today is going to be so outdated when she is 25. Oh geeze...25. Haha!

Anyway, now I have things going on at work that are causing chaos and stress. But, we have survived so much already, I'm ready to tackle this mess too. You do what you have to for your family...if this means taking off the gloves, then so be it. I'm ready to fight for my rights. I am a mother, first and foremost, jobs come and go...however, I wont lay down and let them kick me. So anyways..that's the stressful stuff, but life isn't always so bad. There are some pretty awesome things going on in our lives too. We made new friends. As a matter a fact, I have been acquainted with Gabby for a couple years now, but I told her about the open apartment next door and her, her husband, and their daughter moved in. So now, Kylie and I have friends to hang out with and its just a few steps from our doorstep. I love it! They are awesome people. We are very fortunate to have found such good friends. Matthew and I invited them over for dinner last night, we had some mimosas, spaghetti, garlic toast, and salads. It was delicious!

Well, being a mother means having only a few minutes to do what you want...my baby girl is waking up from her nap, so I have to cut this short. 'Till next time...whenever that will be...
